One has her nose buried in a notebook and doesn’t want to participate. Another has so much energy it sometimes goes a bit too far. The third is just trying to make everything work, while looking great of course. Things escalate quickly when these three personalities are doing a show together. The one thing they all share, a love for a good joke.
Trashpeze offers explosive female energy high in the air. Three original acts on the triple trapeze and cloud swing carry through a story of learning how to work together when we don’t quite understand the other. The aerial acrobatics sensation has toured around the world for example in Japan, Australia, South-Africa, Singapore, South Korea.
Wise Fools is a Finnish-South-African all female circus trio. Valpuri Kaarninen and Maria Peltola started circus in the Finnish Sorin Sirkus while Jaimee Allen in the Zip Zap Circus in Cape Town in South Africa. All of them received their professional training in École Superieure des Arts du Cirque (ESAC) in Belgium. Maria and Valpuri studied triple trapeze and Jaimee – cloud swing. In 2015 the trio won with their triple trapeze act a silver medal at the prestigious Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain in Paris, which is organized for over 40 years. During the first years of their career the trio worked with the world-famous Cirque du Soleil in their summer show Scalada in Andorra and did a 7 theatre contract with Europe’s largest variety company GOP Variete. In 2017 the Wise Fools created their first outside performance Trashpeze, which is a comedy with various aerial acrobatics acts. It has toured in Asia, Australia, South Africa and all around Europe. They have performed on such festivals like Seoul Street Arts Festival, Daidogei Festival and La Mercé. In 2017 the trio founded a bigger company Sirkum Polaris, which consists of 11 performers who all started at Sorin Sirkus youth circus in Finland, later went to professional circus schools around Europe and worked with the biggest circus companies in the world. Their first show Kulovalkea has been done in collaboration with Olli Vuorinen and Cie Nuua.
